The Initiative
On 18th October 2024, Non-Malignant collaborated with Mission Unicorn and the Biomedical Department of VIT to spread awareness about breast cancer.
Every year, 2.3 million women are diagnosed with breast cancer globally. In India, it is the most common cancer among women, with 50% of cases diagnosed at advanced stages.
Only 0.1% of women undergo screening for early detection. Pink Day was designed to change this narrative through education and collective action.
Drone Shot
EXTC department students used their self-made drone to capture aerial shots of the mega photoshoot.
Pledge
Over 500 students and faculties wore Pink Ribbons as a symbol of solidarity and support.
